He was predeceased by: his parents, Randolph Alfred Alger and Pauline Isabel Garrett; his wife Sue Hill Alger; and his brothers, Gary "Jerry" Alger and Franklin "Frankie" Alger.
He is survived by: his children, Gwen Kalbaugh (Matt Kuempel), Jennifer Walter (Chris) of Charles Town, WV and Doug Butrick (Lonnie) of Hagerstown, MD; his grandchildren, Brandon (Kelsey), Katelyn, Kaleb, Anna and Aiden; his great grandchild Sophia; and his siblings, Sharon Trovinger, Joan Underwood, Jean Painter, Shirley Alger, Linda Higgs, Barbara Beans, Bonnie Dunn, Kenny and James Alger. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
