He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde B. Nutter and Hattie Asbury Nutter; his former wife Alice Joy Nutter; his wife Carroll Jean Nutter; his stepdaughter Angela Groft; and his brother Charles B. Nutter.
He is survived by: his daughter Carla Joy Nutter Champlain of Ranson; his stepdaughter Debora Boyd (Mike) of Ranson; his brother Clyde Nutter of Gay, WV; and his half-brother John Asbury (J. B. Lemon) of Parkersburg, WV. He is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren two sisters.
