He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Monroe "John" Pittinger and Georgia Elizabeth Eby; his wife Darla Pittinger; and his son Michael D. Pittinger. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa L. Rolle (Bill) of Boyds, Marsha Gardner (Chuck) of Middleway and Missy Lewis (Bryan) of Leetown; his daughter-in-law Debra Pittinger of Charles Town; his grandchildren, Eric Pittinger (Angie), Jessica Rolle, Patrick Lewis, Blair D'Angelo (Ryan), Meaghan Rickman (Lee), Angela O'Meara (Ryan), Lauren Poe (Trevor), Brooke Gardner, Blake Gardner, Lacie Lewis, Cole Lewis and C. T. Gardner; his great grandchildren, Arianna Pittinger, Thomas Pittinger, Leah D'Angelo, Emma D'Angelo and Connor D'Angleo; his brothers, Douglas M. Pittinger (Judy) of Uvilla and Richard W. Pittinger (Adrienne) of Newport News; and also Dawn Legge. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
