He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Milton and Lizzie Workman Nelson; his siblings, Ossie, Elvie, Charlie Milton II, Winfield, Spencer, Lewie Nelson, Mary Isaacs, Lola Webb, Lilly Inez Williamson and Ruthie Mae Maynard; and his daughter Connie Gail Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Kay Neace Nelson; and his children, Lenford Earl Nelson (Sharon) of Ranger, Charles Floyd Nelson (Samantha) of Harts, WV, Elbert Odell Nelson of Ranger, Ronnie Dale Nelson (Albanie) of Branchland, WV and Lizzie Beth Nelson-Shanteau of Mt. Juliet, TN.. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends, neighbors, and brothers and sisters.
