George Massing Jr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 21, 2025, at the age of 98, George Massing Jr. in Raleigh, West Virginia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of George Massing Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Massing Sr. and Nola C. Massing; his wife Joyce "Mickey" Maxine Massing; and his grandson Andy Martin. He is survived by: his children, Linda Martin (John) and Jim Massing (Alice); his grandchildren, Chris Martin (Denise), Timothy Massing, Thomas Massing, Hannah Johnson (Cameron) and Audrey Martin; and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Drew, Tyler Martin, Nathan Martin, Grace, Lily, Savannah and Penelope Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Calfee Funeral Home (800 S Oakwood Ave, Beckley, WV 25801). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
George was proud of his military service, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Beckley VFW, 1708 S. Kanawha St., Beckley, WV 25801.
