Sarah Louise Rookstool Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sarah Louise Rookstool of Rainelle, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2025 at the age of 75. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph French and Lucinda French (Cecil); her former husband Alva Marvin Lewis; her son Ramond Lewis; her husband Paul Rookstool; her daughter Sandra Rookstool-Dunford; her granddaughter Sophia Grace Dunford; her daughter Carla Smith Zickafoose; and her son-in-law J. D. Shawver.
She is survived by: her daughters, Charlotte Melda (Ken) of Lewisburg and Victoria Shawver of Charmco; her brothers, Charles French (Linda) of Whitesville and Curtis Martin (Zelta) of Danese; her grandchildren, Dakota Smith (Brittany) of Rainelle, Dustin Smith (Hailey) of Rainelle and Sarah Shawver of Charmco; and her great grandchild Ana Smith of Rainelle.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Smathers Funeral Chapel Inc. (675 Main St, Rainelle, WV 25962). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
