He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Neal and Helen Bryant Neal; his wife Betty Estep Neal; and his siblings, Jim, Harold "Fuzzy", Howard "Smokie", Charles Neal, Hila Marie, Kathleen, Betty Neal, Bonnie Gilkeson, Ruth Shumaker and Marjorie Sevy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rita Wood (Steve) of Rainelle and Brenda McClung (Jeff) of Rainelle; his grandchildren, Lora Persinger (Shawn) of Cross Lanes, Jennifer Wood of Charleston, David Wood of Huntington and Richard Dale McClung of Rainelle; and his great grandchildren, Ayden, Sophie, Nora, Nicholas, Jude, Elliana, Willie, Pat and Jason. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
