He is survived by: his sisters, Peggy Workman (Carl), Phyllis Tyson (Rob), Barbara Thomas and Linda Smith (David); and his children, James Lester Thomas Jr., Beth Lahmon (Leslie) and Rebecca "Jeanie" Guilmart.
A private graveside service will be held due to the Coronavirus pandemic with Rev. Les Mullens officiating.
