We are sad to announce that on April 29, 2023, at the age of 82, Helen Ruth Smith of Rainelle, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Helmick and Ruby Helmick; her husband Delbert R. Smith; her siblings, Roy Helmick and Vera "Sis" Midkiff; and her daughter Cindy Persinger.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Smith (Brandi) of Morriston, Ray Smith (Kyra) of North Baltimore, Christopher Smith of Nitro, Sham Smith (Kara) of Dunbar and Kimberly Goehle (Mark) of Lexington; her brothers, Robert Helmick of Grassy Meadows, Vernon Helmick of Grassy Meadows, Keith Helmick (Pam) of Williamsburg and Wayne Helmick (Melissa) of Virginia; and her grandchildren, Matthew Nottingham (Lauren), Corey Hizer, Lily Smith, Sabrina Goehle, Isaiah, Madison, Daniel Smith, Jason Persinger and Kenny Ray Smith. She is also survived by 4 great-granddaughters.
