She was predeceased by: her parents, George Shafer and Beulah Shafer; and also Ruth Shafer. She is survived by: her sister Joanne Schwirian of Philippi; her former husband George Edgar Adkins, Sr.; her children, Marsha, George Edgar, Jr. and Mark; her husband Everett H. "Bud" Groves; her grandchildren, Rachel Archer-Collins of Gallatin, Tennessee, Matthew Archer of Yorktown, Virginia, Laura Mead Aylor of Christiansburg, Virginia. and Zachary Adkins of Columbus, Ohio.; her children, Madeline and Logan; her niece Terri Schwirian Coleman (Terry) of Cross Lanes; her daughter-in-law Cindy Adkins of Washington, DC.; and also, Eddie, Mark, Art Mead, Jeff Mendell, Marsha, Jeanie Crawford-Adkins of Washington, DC, Chris, Meredith, Madison, Hayden, Gavin, Josh, Josiah, Xander, Maggie Crawford-Adkins, Savanna Hall and David Schwirian (Debbie) of Charleston. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
