He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Underwood and Lola Underwood (Pack); his wife Donna Jean Carr Underwood; his siblings, Fred Underwood (June), Mildred Parker (John) and Geneva Parker (Donald "Dagg"); and his grandson James Brandon McClung.
He is survived by: his children, Charles "Chuck" Underwood, Jr. of Charlotte and Vicki McClung (Craig) of Rainelle; his brother Johnny Underwood (Peggy Jo) of Virginia; his grandsons, Brian McClung (Kelley) of Charleston, Brad McClung of Lewisburg and Brent McClung (Angie) of Mt. Sidney, Virginia; and his great grandchildren, Talyn, Eleanor, Macy and Charlie. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
