He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest A. Hizer and Mary Elizabeth Stokes Hizer; his wife Beverly Sue Cox Hizer; and his siblings, Peggy Gibson, Clement Gibson and Otis Gibson.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy Marie Hizer Bennett, Mary Elizabeth Hizer, Rodney Hizer (Dara) and Delbert Hizer (April); his sisters, Wanda Martin, Tibby Barnett, Shelia Trout and Avdrey Trout; his grandchildren, Candace Hizer, Delbert Hizer, Jr., Austin Hizer, Corey Smith, Shawn Hinkle, Kayden Hinkle and Renezmae Wells; and his great grandchild Jaxon Hizer.
