He was predeceased by: his parents, John Howard Shobe and Maxine Dare Leatherman Shobe; his brother Johnny C. Shobe; and his stepgreat-grandson Britton Lyle Cunningham. He is survived by: his wife Nellie Louise Hines Shobe; his grandchildren, Jackie L. Eye (Joshua P. Eye) of Old Fields, WV and Ambria Hotchkiss (Shobe) of Burlington, WV; his stepgrandson Christopher Cunningham (Loren) of Moorefield, WV; his stepgreat-grandsons, Lincoln and Maverick Cunningham; and his great grandchildren, Abigail, Ethan and Eli Eye.
