He was predeceased by: his parents, Quinten Arthur Champ and Bessie Florence Layton Champ; his son Charles E. "Eddie" Champ, Jr.; and his brother Gary Dean Champ. He is survived by: his brother Jimmy Dayton Champ; his wife Dottie Sue Berg Champ; his daughter Debra Ann Champ; his grandsons, Quinten Austin Champ and Ethan Quaid Champ; his siblings, Judy Pratt (Roger) of Moorefield, WV, Carl Champ (Nancy) of Purgitsville, WV, Roger Champ (Shelia) of Moorefield, WV, John Champ (Barbara) of Purgitsville, WV and Andrew Champ of Purgitsville, WV; his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Champ of Purgitsville, WV and Sharon Champ of Purgitsville, WV; and his daughter-in-law Diane Champ.
