He is survived by: his wife Judy McAlpine Richards; his children, Thomas Michael Richards of Alabama and Benjamin Andrew Richards of Moorehead, KY; his stepson David Linkous (Karin) of Manassas, Virginia; his brother Allan Richards (Rita) of Gastonia, NC.; and his close friends, Arnold Ford, Tracy Winders and Craig Thomas.
