He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mitchell Szoke and Della Mae Wood Szoke. He is survived by: his wife Karen Kessler Szoke; his daughter Taylor Szoke Barley (Isaac) of Maple Fork; his siblings, John Mitchell Szoke II (Sheila) of Beckley and Kelly Brown (Greg) of Beaver; and his close friend Frankie Miller of Oak Hill. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
