She was predeceased by: her father Powell Sluss; her husband James Robert Karnes; and her brothers, Wilbor, Phillip and Donald Sluss.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine Hefner (Ronnie Hefner) of Rock Hill, SC, Becky Lynn Shotwell of Princeton, WV, Mary Beth (Charles Hennessee Jr) of Hickory, NC, William Ray Karnes (Lisa), Robert Royall Karnes and Barry James Karnes of Princeton.
