She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Preston and Malendia Hensley Wiley; her husband Aaron Burr Maxey; and her sons, Silas, Fairley and Lyle Maxey.
She is survived by: her son Nigel (Sharon) of Princeton; her grandchildren, Sheri Wilson (Jay), Crystal Maxey of Bradley and Seth Maxey of Mount Airy; her great grandchild Joshua Wilson of Bradley; her daughters-in-law, Marjorie Maxey of Bluefield and Ruby Maxey of Mount Airy; and her siblings, Dennis, Dan Wiley, Esther Kinser and Naomi White.
