He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Shea Brower (Demaris) of Randleman, NC, Shannon Voun Hammonds (Bonnie) of Rocky Gap, VA and Shiloh Ray Hammonds of Davy, WV; and his siblings, Jesse Hammonds of Princeton, Lilly Seal of Princeton and Barbara Chapin of Princeton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great grandson.
