He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Frew and Betty Headlee Frew of Parsons, Kansas.. He is survived by: his brother Ridge. He is also survived by four nieces; three nephews; six great nephews; and five great nieces.
He later founded AIDS Action International, a nonprofit foundation furthering the education and understanding of the worldwide aids pandemic.
