She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Arthur and Doris Thomas Arthur; her husband William "Alex" Purdy; her sons, Tommy Purdy and Michael Purdy; her sister Beatrice Bowles; her grandson Gregory Scott Purdy; and her close friend Bobby Church.
She is survived by: her son John Purdy (Tammy Tiller) of Princeton; her daughters-in-law, Judi Purdy of Beckley and Diane Martin of Princeton; her grandchildren, Tad Purdy of Beckley, Kristie Matthews of Lashmeet and Allyson Wilson of Shepardstown; and her close friends, Betty Wilcox of Bluefield and Melva Hill of Kegley. She is also survived by several great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
