He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil W. Alford and Katherine Tiller Alford; and his siblings, Tommy, Jackie, Bobby, Ronnie, Charlie, Brenda and Calvin.

He is survived by: his wife Cecilia Starlene Davis Alford; his sons, Paul Wesley Alford Jr. (Belinda) and Dalton Ellison; his grandchildren, Hunter Gage Alford, Ridge Ellison and Josey Ellison; and his siblings, Pat Tolley (Buddy), Linda Osborne (Bob) and Doug Meekins (Terri).
