He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Thornton and Hattie Sue Wade Thornton; and his wife Emma Jean Thornton. He is survived by: his daughters, Paula (Kenneth Adams), Sue (Dale Kanode), Tina (Eddie Bailey), Lisa Bell and Rebekah (Nathan Mills); his brother Jackie; and his caregiver Tammy Weis. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren.
