She is survived by: her husband John Allen Shorter; her daughter Deborah Denise Shorter Hubbard; her grandchildren, Cary Matthew Hubbard (Ruby) and Joshua James Hubbard (Anna); her great grandchildren, Thomas and Rhea Hubbard; and her siblings, Emelene Akers and Betty Shorter.
