She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Rastus Thompson and Lydia Hill Thompson; her husband George Taylor Owens; her sons, Oscar and Michael White; and her grandson Derek Brinkley.
She is survived by: her daughter Georgia "GiGi" Brinkley (Dayton); her stepdaughters, Cynthia Hager and Linda Lydic; her grandchildren, Trevor White (Stephanie) and Khea Johnson; her sister Helen Neely of Oakvale, Special; her niece Rhonda Moreno; and her nephew Gibby Lester (Norma). She is also survived by son 9 Great-Grandchildren, numerous other nieces and nephews.
