She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucian Carter and Maude Street Carter; her husband Albert B. Herald Jr.; and her brothers, Roy and James Carter.

She is survived by: her sons, Albert B. Herald III of Pearisburg, VA and Garry Ray Herald (Tracey) of Covington, TN.; her grandchildren, Jennifer Herald, Jessica Howard, Michael Herald, Hannah Herald, Stephanie Pullium and Sarah Herald; and her great grandchildren, Wesley Howard, Dylan Banner, Carter Howard, Grant Pullium and Clara Pullium.
