He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Sparks and Opal Scott Sparks; his wife Deborah Phillips Sparks; his brother Jeffrey Wayne Sparks; and his great grandchild Colson Sparks.
He is survived by: his sons, Brad Sparks (Valerie) of Princeton and Kevin Sparks (Melissa) of Princeton; his sisters, Karen Thompson of Bluefield and Rhonda McKinney (Daniel) of Bluewell; his grandchildren, Michael Hager, Caleb Sparks, Zachary Sparks, Autumn Sparks and Abigail Sparks; and his great grandchild Bailee Sparks.
