He was predeceased by: his wife Debra Sue Meadows Thomas; his brother Larry Thomas; and his close friend Gary O'Neal. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Amy Beth McKinney (Michael), Ernest Rumery, Ivan Rumery and Zachary Howington; and his grandchildren, Dallas McKinney, Jordan McKinney, Mikey McKinney, Noah Roland and Vermillion Howington.
