He is survived by: his wife Patricia Wright Ayers; his children, Brad Ayers (Cherie) of Bluefield, VA and Kimberly Geiger (Mike) of Loudon, TN.; his grandchildren, Morgan Duncan, Ben Ayers and Kaleb Johnson; and his great grandchild Emory Duncan.
