He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hampton and Lula Fletcher Hampton; his wife Barbara; and his son-in-law Jerry Thompson. He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Thompson and Donna Barton (Butch); his granddaughters, Alexis and Kirsten; and his siblings, Ruth Etter, Sadie Munford, Charles Hampton and Jimmy Etter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Princeton Feeding Hungry Children ministry.
