He was predeceased by: his parents, Emerson M. Smith and Janet B. Sullivan Smith. He is survived by: his wife Jean Evelyn (Harsanyi); his grandchildren, Jessica Sheets-Davis (Mike) of Princeton, JoAnna Brown (Cedric) of Myrtle Beach, SC, David Emerson Trout (Audra) of Lewisburg, WV, LeAnna Dawn Kyle (Mike) of Maysville, NC, Clay Madison Cooper of Princeton and Emma Jozett Cooper of Princeton; and his cousins, Billy, Carolyn Burgess, Kathy, Steve Moss, Eddie Kimball and Gayle Smith. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
