He was predeceased by: his parents, Billie Akers and Agnes Riley Akers; and his sister Billie Ruth Akers. He is survived by: his wife Chastity George Akers; his stepchildren, Cameron Benfield and Charlie Benfield; his siblings, Michael Akers (Kelli) of Charlotte, NC, Ricki Audrick of Cleveland, OH, Vivian Alford of Bluefield, WV, Joetta Ruble (Keith) of Princeton, Jackie Riley and Mike Mullins of Princeton; and his close friend Robbie Wyse of Winston-Salem, NC.. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and friends.
