He was predeceased by: his father James William Murphy; and his stepfather Bud Hypes. He is survived by: his mother Patty Sue Taylor Hypes; his daughter Taylor Fulp (Brandon); his grandchild Stevie Nicole; his sons, Bryson Murphy and Jacob Murphy; his brother Rick Murphy (Kendra); and his stepbrother Jim Hypes (Betty). He is also survived by Several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be sent in Jay's memory to, Appalachian Teen Challenge, 1651 Unity Road, Princeton, WV 24739.
