He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Powell and Francis Powell of McDowell County; his significant other Mary Belcher; and his siblings, Kenneth, Charles, David, Carl Powell, Grace Pendleton and Judy Testerman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Heather Wilson (Josh) of Matthews, NC, Chrissy Hurley (Danny) of Princeton and Patty Powell; his siblings, Phyllis Shepherd, Lee (Velvet), Paul (Felicia) and Randy (Carolyn); and his grandchildren, Kayla Wimmer (Bobby McGill), Cheyenne Loomis (Bradley Brown), Justin Wilson (Emily Spotloe), Ella Wilson and Piper Hurley.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Directory (654 Athens Rd, Princeton, WV 24740). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of the Memorial (311 New Hope Rd, Princeton, WV 24740).
