He is survived by: his wife Cathy Mays; his children, Johnny Mays (Amber) of Clarksburg, WV and Amy Mays (Kenny) of Kannapolis, NC; his siblings, Billy Mays of Lundale, WV, Ada Lowe of Accoville, WV, Debra Robinson of Accoville, WV, Denny Mays of Man, WV, Teresa Belcher of Claremont, NC and Cora Staten of Accoville, WV; his grandchildren, Mariah Gawthrop (Travis) of Bridgeport, WV, Desiree Mays (Kevin) of Brushfork, WV, John Tyler Mays of Clarksburg, WV, Destiny Mays (Bradley) of Bluefield, WV, Derrick Mays of Kannapolis, NC and Alyssa Binegar (Hunter) of Clarksburg, WV; and his great grandchildren, Ciara Mays, My'Aiara Mays, Brycen Gawthrop, Tavion Mays, Micah Mays, Ma'Kih Mays, Ma'Kel Mays, Emry Gawthrop, Ka'Mya Mays, Kaiden Carter, Layne Gawthrop and Jerchio Mays. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
