We are sad to announce that on November 11, 2023, at the age of 93, Helen Margaret Carter (Princeton, West Virginia), born in Athens, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Carter and Vada Carter; her former husband Sam Jones, Jr.; and her siblings, Lois Belcher, Stella Carter and Curtis Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Goodson (Donald), Cathy Smallwood (Marvin), Larry Jones, Charles Jones and Sam Jones III; and her siblings, Ruby Christian of Princeton, Alice Mann of Roanoke, VA, John Carter of Tampa, FL and Harry Carter of Mt. Airy, NC.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
