He is survived by: his wife Laura Lawrence McCartney; his children, Gilbert "Rocky" McCartney, Jr. (Joanna), Shelia Pulliam (Timothy), Alexis Clower (Billy Tiller) and Christopher McCartney; and his sister Teresa Powell (Jeff). He is also survived by Nine grandchildren.
