Eulis Darrell Kimbrough Obituary
Eulis Darrell Kimbrough, age 70, beloved friend and family man, passed into his heavenly home on Monday March 24, 2025, with his devoted wife singing by his side. Darrell was born November 11, 1954, in Hamblen County, Tennessee to John and Edith Pirece Kimbrough. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1972 until his retirement in 1992 as Petty Officer First Class (20 years).
He served on the USS Independence, Caloosahatchee, and couple more ships during his time. Last station was Navel Amphibious Base Little Creek. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.
Pretty much just being outdoors. He was a loving and caring husband. He handy man around the house.
He was proceeded in death by; Daughters, Edith "Edie" Martin and Crystal Kimbrough; his parents John and Edith Kimbrough; Brothers, Freddie Kimbrough, Dean Kimbrough, and James Kimbrough;. His loving, devoted little dog, Millie. Darrell is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Gracie Imogene Kimbrough; loving grandchildren Gracie Meadows, Chloe Martin, and Ricky (Addi) Martin; loving siblings, Eveyln Mallicoat, Donna Kelley, and Gary (Angela) Kimbrough; many loving nieces and nephews; and a community of family and friends.
Family would like to do a special thanks to Compassus Hospice Care. Nurse TJ and the rest of the staff were supportive and awesome. Thank you to the many family members, friends, and neighbors that have been so very helpful and supportive during this time.
A gathering of family & friends will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the Bluestone River Gorge. Following the gathering, your are invited to the Camp Creek Community Church for a luncheon, located at 15371 Beckley Road, Camp Creek WV 25820. In lieu of flowers: Donation to your local Cancer Society for Lung cancer research.
