She is survived by: her sons, Cecil Calvin Toler and Walter Andrew Toler; her sister Karen C Lane of Charlotte; her grandchild AJ Toler; and her great grandchild Anastasia Grace Toler. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Arbor Day Foundation to plant a tree in Edith's name.
