He was predeceased by: his parents, Furman Masters and Frances Christian Masters; his wife Betty Masters; and his stepson David Hounshell. He is survived by: his stepson George Hounshell (Geneva) of Louisa, KY; his siblings, Charles Masters (Alice) of Camp Creek, Douglas Masters (Tina) of Kernersville, NC, Sarah Harmon of Kernersville, NC and Shirley Neely of Kegley; his daughter-in-law Susie Hounshell; and his caregiver Tia Lusk of Matoaka. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
