She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Ballard Cordell and Alta Newberry Cordell; her husband Giles Hammond; her son Terry Allen Joy; her grandson Terry Roger Joy; and her brothers, Harold Junior, Curtis, Donald and James Roger Cordell.
She is survived by: her daughter Vicky Akers (Clinton Akers); her grandchildren, Clinton Akers, II (Angie) and Tracy Orlick (Troye); her great grandchildren, Bryan Akers, Sarah Akers, Terry Roger Joy, Terry Allen Joy and MacKenzie Joy; and her sister-in-law Ramona Cordell.
