With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Bailey of Princeton, West Virginia, born in Lashmeet, West Virginia, who passed away on February 17, 2024 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Doris Bailey to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur "Bud" Sowder and Marie Moye Sowder; her husband Melvin "Sonny" Bailey; her sons, Stefan "Butch" Bailey and Jeffrey Scott Bailey; and her sister Jackie Sowder Lilly.
She is survived by: her children, Stacy Bailey (Carolyn) of Rock, Shannon Bailey (Peggy) of Princeton and Tracy Barnett (Matthew) of Princeton; her granddaughters, Baleigh Barnett of Princeton and Savannah Bailey of Rock; her sister Helen Stratton of Shelby, OH; and her daughter Sharon Kay Barnett (Steve) of Spanishburg. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that her fondness of all animals, especially cats, be honored by donations to Second Chance for Cats, 874 Littlesburg Road, Bluefield, WV 24701.
