He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen Thompson and Wayne Thompson, Sr.; and his siblings, Jack Thompson (Chris), Ron Thompson (Tammy) and Ellen "Harvey" McCloud.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Thompson of Princeton; his son Derrick A. "Andy" Thompson (Donna) of Princeton; his brother Wayne Thompson, Jr. of Oregon; his siblings-in-law, Dennis McCloud and Perri Browning; his grandson Jaydon Craft; and his stepgrandchildren, Kaiden Hocket and Landon Hocket. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
