With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Denise Layne Gilger of Princeton, West Virginia, born in Dixie, West Virginia, who passed away on December 31, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Layne and Marie Layne. She is survived by: her husband Roy Edward "Ed" Gilger of Princeton; her children, Scott Gilger of Oak Hill, WV and Gidget Peery (Martin) of Pinehurst, NC; her grandchildren, Tyler Gilger, Josh Gilger, Gray Peery and Braydon Peery; her great grandchild Lainey Gilger; and her siblings, Stephanie Houghton (John) of Rockwell, NC and Dr. Tom Layne (Dawn) of Greenville, NC..
