He was predeceased by: his parents, Burb Reed and Bertha Asbury Reed; his former wife Maggie Blevins Reed; his wife Reba Franklin Reed; his siblings, Margie Reed, Myrtle Mullins, Maudie Addair, June Holland and Sampy Reed; his grandson Earl Reed; and his great grandchild Brian Lambert.
He is survived by: his children, Helen Green (Kermit) of Davy and Thomas Reed (Mattie) of Princeton; and his brother Hobert Reed of Iaeger. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
