He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Deitz (Mazur) of Stavisht and Henry Deitz of Dubinow, Russia.; his sister Freida Bernstein (Deitz); his parents-in-law, Mini Lisagor (Sroka) and Samuel Lisagor; his grandson Shawn Gilley; and his son-in-law David Gilley.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Deitz (Lisagor); his children, Ronald Deitz, Sheri Gilley (Deitz) and Lori Barsh (Deitz); his son-in-law Greg Barsh; his grandchildren, Leah Deitz-Jackson, Henry Barsh and Samuel Barsh; and his great grandchildren, Mya MacPherson, Maizy Jackson and Meadow Jackson. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
