Betsy Holmes Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betsy Holmes of Princeton, West Virginia, who passed away on March 16, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Burris and Viola Burris Cole; her husband Franklin Farmer; her son James Farmer; her grandson Kevin Farmer; her great grandchild Brandon Meadows; and her siblings, Robert Burris, Paul Burris, Richard Burris and Mary Perkins.
She is survived by: her children, Franklin Farmer (Sherry), Daniel Farmer (Tanya), Steven Farmer (Sharman) and Brenda Farmer (Larry); her siblings, Thomas Burris, Rose Dunn, Bonnie Brown and Donna Fitzgerald; and her grandchildren, Tracy Farmer, Kelly Farmer-Watts, Heather Kilpatrick, Paul Shrewsbury, Sarah Riggs, Rebecca Thompson, Clyde Shrewsbury (Peanut), Jennifer Brazee, Kathy Woods, Justin Farmer, Jared Farmer, James Farmer and Laura Farmer. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Homes (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (3410 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701).
