It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Adam Ray Mitchem Sr. of Princeton, West Virginia, who passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Mitchem and Bessie Graham Mitchem; his siblings, Earnest, Joseph, Martha, Mary and Pricie; his granddaughter Heavenly; and his brother Edgar.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Mitchem; his children, Thomas Mitchem, Misty Dillow (Malcolm) of Bluefield, WV, Alisha Mitchem of Bluefield, WV, Norma Toth (Steve) of Welch, WV, Adam Ray Mitchem, Jr. (Kayla) of Bluewell, WV and Joshua Mitchem of Princeton, WV; his siblings, Jackie Mitchem of Indiana, Ben Mitchem of Indiana, Momma Gail, Momma Jane of Bluewell, WV, Tammy, Tater, Cindy, Brian Sayers and David Denton (Bird); and his son Josh Little.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home (3431 Coal Heritage Rd, Bluefield, WV 24701). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
