He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherwin Chaffin and Effie Chaffin; and his sister Sally Mae Hanshaw. He is survived by: his wife Stella Chaffin; his children, Karen Nelson (Keith) and William Lee Chaffin (Randy Beth) of Prichard; and his sister Minerva Manley of Huntington, W. V. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great grandchild.
