She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Smith and Erie Lakin Smith; her husband James H. Gilkerson (Dick) of Prichard, WV; her siblings, Paul Smith, Hazel Smith Gilkerson and Homer Smith; and her stepdaughter-in-law Martha Gilkerson.
She is survived by: her stepson Donald R. Gilkerson (Anita) of Kenova; her granddaughters, Lisa Northup (Joe) of West Chester and Erin Rich (David) of Huntington; her great grandchildren, Savannah Northup, Judson, Bennett and Brooks Rich; her niece Elizabeth Crose (John); her great-niece Kelly Holland (Peter); and also, Andrew, Anna and Michael Crose (Lisa) of Durham, NC..
